The amazing Vince (Invincible)

Our eldest daughter Louise has recently (Christmas) acquired a "child".

He is a Beagle who is very cute and is of course presently willing to eat anything and everything.

He did something very bad but kind of neat today, by eating one of the keys off of her laptop computer.

Not so strange you might think, until we consider which letter he ate. Would you believe it? It was of course the letter V ! Strange eh !

Way to go Vince.

Italia or bust in 2008 !

Planning is now under way for our Summer vacation.
This was necessitated by the fact that we are attending the wedding of our niece (Maria) who is being married in Italy, despite the fact that she lives in Scotland (Glasgow, our home city).

She will be wed to her beau (Scott) in the very fashionable Le Sireneuse Hotel, in Positano, on the Amalfi coast, south of Sorrento.

We are going by way of Paris, and Cherbourg (in northwest France). We have booked a villa for 5 days in which to luxuriate during the festivities here. We will also take in Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and of course the enchanting Island of Capri. Gordon was here 40 years ago and is looking forward to returning.

After this we may go back up to Rome and Venice, or perhaps slip over to the French Riviera to soak up some sun before returning back to Paris for our flight home to Vancouver.

New Beginnings-The Birth of our new baby blog

With apologies to those who have been doing this stuff for a while.

We have today, to announce, a new beginning - The birth of a Baby blog. A new little rambling to share with our friends and anyone else who might stumble upon it decently or otherwise.

We, and the dogs, Aries and Gemma, hope to share with you all, some insight into our lives, interests, pastimes and travels from this momentous day, forwards into what will become history, for as long as we are able.

This year particularly will contain some interesting foreign content as we continue to plan yet another major family expedition to the former continent across the pond, from whence we came.

Much to the disgust of one friend in particular who, we promise to have eating his words before the end of this century. we may yet swear allegiance to the two coloured flag. Who knows ?
